Report about the meeting WG3 Working group for biosphere research on the project “Network of Transformational Learning to Ensure the Sustainability of Assistance to Ukrainian Higher Education in Ensuring a Sustainable and Powerful Restoration of (post-war) Ukraine”.

31.01.24 was the first online working meeting of the Working group for biosphere research WG3 on the project.

Delegates of the following universities were present:

National Transport University, Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University, Odessa State Environmental University, Ukrainian National Forestry University, Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding, Pryazovskyi State Technical University, Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University.

As well as delegates of NRF institutions:

Holosiivskiy National Nature Park, Carpathian National Nature Park, Chernobyl Radiation-Ecological Biosphere Reserve, Carpathian Biosphere Reserve, Nyzhnodnistrovskyi National Nature Park, Desniansko-Starohutskyi National Nature Park, National Nature Park “Biloberezhya Svyatoslav”, National Nature Park “Synohora”.

The meeting was an introductory. The participants of the meeting had the opportunity to get acquainted with the project: the purpose, the content of the project, the types of work in the working packages and directly the working group of the WG3, as well as its expected results.

Offers from participants:

• 1. Attracting university students to help develop handouts, events, excursions, participation in scientific research in NRF institutions.
• 2. Involving more NRF institutions in the project.
• 3. Development and signing of a memorandum of cooperation between universities and other interested sides.
• 4. Providing an online lecture on GIS mapping by a delegate of NNP “Biloberezhya Svyatoslav” for students.
• 5. For a better understanding of the problems of NRF institutions and ideas for their solution, it is necessary to create an online document for joint filling by group members.
