Report regarding the meeting of the Work group 3 for sustainable Community Ukraine development “Study of strategic adaptive approaches to reconstruction management in Ukraine and ways of sustainable development of sectors in times of crisis”

On February 5, 2024, the first working online meeting of the work group (WG) 3 took place within the framework of the project “Study of strategic adaptive approaches to reconstruction management in Ukraine and ways of sustainable development of sectors in times of crisis.” Representatives from the following institutions of higher education were present: National Transport University, Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University, Odessa State Environmental University, National University of Shipbuilding named after Admiral Makarov, Priazovsky State Technical University, Kharkiv National Automobile and Road University.

The meeting served as an introductory session. Participants-partners at the meeting had the opportunity to discuss the specifics of project implementation, such as: objectives, content of project activities, types of work directly within the working group WG3, as well as the expected outcomes from the project.

Suggestions from participants:

  1. Involvement of university students to assist in developing educational materials, organizing events, excursions, and participating in research activities at the institutions involved in the project.
  2. Publication of scientific articles in journals indexed in the Scopus or Web of Science databases.
  3. To enhance understanding of strategic adaptive approaches to reconstruction management in Ukraine and sustainable development paths for sectors during times of crisis, it is proposed to create an online document for collaborative input by group participants.
  4. Discussed global trends and Ukrainian realities in strengthening the effectiveness of the role of communities in the economic development of local territories and the whole country.
  5. Preparation and conduct of a round table discussion on “Sustainable Development of Communities” within the framework of the international scientific symposium “Sustainable Development – Status and Prospects”.
  6. Conducting monthly online meetings to refine and discuss the results of the work.
