Successful Launch of TransLearnN Project’s Work Package 4: Joining Forces to Revitalize Ukrainian Higher Education

July 2024 marked the commencement of the active phase of Work Package 4, “Course Development,” within the framework of the “Transformative Learning Network for Resilience – Assisting Ukrainian Higher Education for Sustainable and Resilient (Post-War) Reconstruction of Ukraine” (TransLearnN) project. This stage was characterized by a series of productive online meetings held in July and August, which served as a crucial platform for knowledge and experience exchange among project participants, aimed at developing three educational courses:
• Strategic Adaptive Management for Sustainable Reconstruction and Restoration
• Sustainable Business Models
• Sustainable Pathways and Risk Management in Times of Crises
Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University (KhNAHU) serves as the moderator for Work Package 4, taking responsibility for overall management, planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting on all planned activities.
Representatives from Germany, Lithuania, Poland, and Ukraine have joined forces to develop new educational approaches. The primary goal of this collaboration is to assist Ukrainian universities not only in recovering from challenging times but also in adapting to new conditions and contemporary challenges.
During the meetings, participants focused on several key aspects:
1 Development of new courses aimed at achieving project objectives
2 Exchange of ideas and recommendations for creating effective educational programs
3 Integration of sustainable development principles into higher education
4 Adaptation of courses to the specific needs and challenges of Ukrainian universities
The TransLearnN project continues its important mission of supporting and developing Ukrainian higher education, fostering its resilience and preparedness for future challenges.
