Horizon Europe Opportunities Workshop Held Within TransLearnN Project

On November 12, 2024, the Working Group for Biosphere Research (WG3) of the TransLearnN project held an online meeting focused on the Horizon Europe Framework Programme. The event brought together 20 participants representing both academic institutions and protected areas across Ukraine.


Representatives from five partner universities participated in the meeting: National Transport University, National Forestry University of Ukraine, Zhytomyr Polytechnic, Odesa State Environmental University, and Makarov National University of Shipbuilding. The meeting also welcomed staff members from six national nature parks and reserves: Holosiivskyi National Nature Park, Chornobyl Radiation and Ecological Biosphere Reserve, Desniansko-Starohutskyi National Nature Park, Carpathian Biosphere Reserve, Synihora National Nature Park, and Shatsk National Nature Park.


Valerii Maliarenko, representing both the Chornobyl Radiation and Ecological Biosphere Reserve and serving as the National Contact Point of Horizon Europe, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the conditions and features of the Horizon Europe Framework Programme 2021-2027. During the interactive session that followed, participants engaged in a productive Q&A discussion.


Mr. Maliarenko emphasized that the National Contact Point ‘Horizon Europe’ stands ready to provide consultation services to representatives of protected areas and universities interested in joining the Programme.
