December 16–17, 2025, online

The final meetings of the Work Package 3 (WP3) working groups of the TransLearnN project took place. Participants summarised two years of joint work and outlined prospects for future cooperation.

Throughout the project implementation period, the working group teams of partner universities ensured joint activities and interdisciplinary research in the field of sustainable development across three thematic areas:

WG1 «Development of a Sustainable Development Strategy for Ukrainian Universities» — this working group focused on institutional changes and the implementation of sustainability principles in Ukrainian university governance.

WG2 «Sustainable Development of Communities in Ukraine» — participants explored mechanisms for university cooperation with united territorial communities to ensure sustainable local development.

WG3 «Biosphere Research» — the team addressed issues of collaboration with protected areas, resulting in the creation of the PARCUR platform (Protected Area Research Community for Ukrainian Recovery).

Over two years, participants organised regular meetings, prepared reports and presentations, developed materials for the «Transformational Learning Network to Support the Sustainability of Higher Education in Ukraine» platform (ukrdigital.hnee.de), and published scientific articles.

At the final meetings, participants discussed the specifics of interaction and communication within the project with various target groups — Ukrainian and European universities, representatives of united territorial communities, business structures, and protected area staff.

Participants recognised the importance of the results achieved and the effectiveness of joint communications. They expressed hope for continued cooperation and identified prospects for further joint work in international projects.
