General Objectives
- • Strengthen the societal and political leadership role of universities in the context of sustainable reconstruction of Ukraine.
- • Create an inter and transdisciplinary educational network for developing and testing innovative approaches to sustainability both in teaching and applied research as a contribution to (post war) resilience.
- • Support Ukrainian universities on their path to a sustainable university management.
- • Enable students to become change agents for sustainable and risk robust development.
Specific Objective 1
- • conduct an assessment of the current state, experiences and needs
- • identify the needs of the sectors
- • enhance the awareness and understanding of the concept of sustainable development
- • assess the current state of the sustainability management
- • promote the active involvement of student

- • support the development of a network of professionals and practitioners
- • foster the capacity building of the participating universities and working groups
- • promote the active engagement of students
- • generate evidence based insights and recommendations

- • develop innovative, inter and transdisciplinary teaching courses in the field of sustainability science
- • enable mutual training of lecturers in the course of joint teaching during spring schools
- • pilot test the developed teaching courses to improve them
- • integrate courses into curriculum of Ukrainian universities
Specific Objective 4
- • effectively share the project’s findings and achievements with diverse stakeholders in Ukraine and abroad, including academics, policymakers, civil society, and the public.
- • raise awareness, understanding, and engagement in the project’s goals and impacts, fostering a community of practice for sustainable, resilient development in Ukraine.
